About this Event:
Breath is magick—an ancient key to transformation, vitality, and deep inner connection.
We will be doing a SOMA Breath Energized Meditation designed to awaken your energy, sharpen your focus, and bring you into alignment with your highest self.
Through a powerful combination of light movement, rhythmic breathing, chanting, breath retention, and guided visualisation, this practice activates your body’s natural healing abilities, enhances mental clarity, and expands your awareness.
What to Expect:
BODY ACTIVATION - a series of movements to help train your body to use oxygen more efficiently and wake up both hemispheres of your brain
AUM CHANTING - using vocal tones to stimulate your endocrine system and harness your creative life force energy
INTENTION SETTING - a short meditation to put you into a positive mindset and boost your mood
BREATHWORK - breathing rhythmically with some breath holds to switch off your stress and bring you into a flow state
What to Bring:
Yoga Mat
Water Bottle
Meditation cushion (optional, but you may be more comfortable sitting on one)
Blanket, leg bolster, & flat/low-profile pillow (for the breathwork component, you can choose to sit upright or lie down)
Participation Waiver (download and complete ahead of time or complete the paper copy at the event)

Contraindications & Safety Information
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
The slow rhythmic breathing techniques of SOMA Breath are safe to be used for anyone, and can be beneficial for all individuals.
Forceful mouth breathing, prolonged breath holds and extended intense fast breathwork/hyperventilation for more than 5 minutes, should NOT be practiced in the case of any of the following:
Severe/critical diseases or infections if it impairs your ability to breathe
Severe uncontrolled hypertension (usually after a heart attack)
Organ failure or late-stage terminal illness
Pregnancy
If you have epilepsy, a pacemaker, or irregular heartbeat (Exception: your doctor gives you specific permission).
Some conditions (Eg: Tinnitus, hernias) may be aggravated by forceful mouth breathing, prolonged breath holds and prolonged, intense, rapid breathing/hyperventilation and careful attention to technique is required. This technique will be demonstrated during the experience.
SAFETY:
Do not do SOMA Breath in the case of:
Full stomach
Flu or fever
Driving a car or operating machinery
In water
